A man is fighting for his life after being shot at a barbershop in Queens. Police say the man was critically wounded during a robbery attempt Friday night at Beverly's Barber and Beauty Shop on Farmer's Boulevard.

SALEM — Jackson's Body Shop celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house Friday at the business, 3353 Silverton Road NE, Salem. The third-generation collision repair shop was opened in October 1958 by Glen Jackson and his sons Walter and Roger Jackson. It now is owned by their sons Jerry and Larry Jackson.
